The Ecosystem Manager

 

Every day we have an opportunity to manage the ecosystem that surrounds us.  We can choose to integrate ourselves into the natural system or we can work to move the natural system away from us. 

 

Moving ecosystems to an unbalanced state have led to significant complications (global warming, soil degradation) that are becoming increasingly dangerous.  Also, managing systems that are out of balance takes time and effort.  Instead, the Ecosystem Manager proposes solutions that allow for a comfortable, inexpensive, harmonious ecosystem where we share our surroundings with the natural system. 

 

If you have ever refilled the wild bird feeder, then you know the feeling that you get when you employ the principles of ecosystem management. 

 

We want to manage our ecosystem so that it does not require expensive chemicals, risks to our health or lots of time.  We want to integrate into the natural surrounding ecosystem in a way that derives mutual benefit. 

The website will explore ways to work more closely with nature in our own environments – the space around our home and garden. The goal is to create a living space that integrates with the natural environment.  Our goal will be to rely on naturally occurring plants and animals to create a living space that is balanced and integrated with the natural environment.  We will focus on solutions for maintenance and management that limits the use of chemical and biological controls.  We will focus instead on creating an environment that creates a natural balance.
